READING AND DISCOVERY

While I have been in my "sick bed" these past few months I have had much time for reading and contemplating the Holy Scriptures.
I am very surprised,  to say the least at what I found.
I have always and will continue to believe in the Holy writing, although the mistranslation of this book astounds me!
I too will say,  there are versions of the bible I will not use in my study like the NIV..
too many translational errors.
I am not saying that I am a bible scholar to any degree, but it does not take a "rocket scientist" nor a  bible scholar to see the discrepancies in this version.

In my sudies I been using...
Parallel Bible - KJV ASV BAS YLT
I also have a Hebrew Interlinear close by.

Some of the most amazing web sites I found...
fill my mind with knowledge of days gone by, and days yet to come....
The Common Man's Prospective
Analysis from the Bible and History
Written, edited and published by common men for common men.
The Septuagint writings are what Jesus would have used when He spoke in the Temple.

Another very important discovery is the "secret" book of Enoch. This book was found The Book of Enoch, written during the second century B.C.E., is one of the most important non-canonical apocryphal works, and probably had a huge influence on early Christian, particularly Gnostic, beliefs.
 This book once considered Cannon.
It seems to have been deliberately removed, around the Constantine era.
Some say the book of Enoch once was next to the book of Job in the Holy Scriptures.
The man Enoch and the book of Enoch is refereed
 to in the bible...
Genesis:
5:18. And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch
5:19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters
5:20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
5:21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah
5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters
5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years
5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Hebrews
11:5. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
Jude 1
13. They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
14. Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones
15. to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him."

but has been left out of Cannon.
It seems to be "too strange" for every day people to handle?
I find it exhilarating!

AND WHAT ABOUT THAT WILD READ OF JASHER....
Two things immediately come to mind. One, not much is written about Enoch in the Bible. And two, what obviously commands attention is one of the great mysterious of the Bible. What happened to Enoch? God took him, not only that—he didn't die. But don't fundamentalist Christians like to bandy about the quote "It is given only once to die and then the second death," when they are arguing against reincarnation? Oh, so this is another conveniant exception. Well, what happened to him? Is there somebody else in history who left this planet in a ressurected body? Could the phenomena of ascending back to God not be the exclusive ability and purpose of one man? One of those so-called 'Lost Books of the Bible,' called the Book of Jasher might offer a clue. The Old Testament even mentions Jasher twice, giving it some legitimacy:
Old Testament references to the Book of Jasher:
"Is not this written in the Book of Jasher?" Joshua, 10:13.
"Behold it is written in the Book of Jasher." II Samuel, 1:18

Apparently the Book of Jasher could have been inserted in place of the Book of Genesis since much of it overlaps including the story of Adam and Eve. In some ways, the Book of Jasher is more complete. There is much more on Enoch. If the goal of life is to break the wheel of reincarnation and ascend back to God, then that is reason enough for those who have tampered with the Bible to leave out the Book of Jasher. Why, because it mentions the ascension five times. Here are the excerpts from the Book of Jasher which reference Enoch. You can buy the book or get it online at the links on the bottom of the page.

Thia may not be every ones cup of tea, but I love this kinda read!
