2010's Wondrous January Frost

There are times, that I am so grateful to have been blessed to live in this wondrous white winter land, that's just out side my window...

Here in our own "back yard"...

We have the most amazing sights, cold flaky starlet nights, Day time is crystal clear like icy blue gem stone's a magical ice blue sight... that other countries do not have.
The snow, horror frost, ice lakes, sun dogs, icicle's, one 's own breath frozen into space, frosty designs frozen onto windows pane's, snow ball fight's while hiding behind snow igloo's, hills of white fluff to sled down, exciting down hill skiing, dreamy cross country skiing... as one could possibly see the great snowy owl or the white fox, or Mr. jack rabbit himself, with his huge white feet running across the very field one is skiing upon. How many countries can boast racing around on motored sled's (snow mobiles) on the snow and ice?

All this one can have at there finger tips, in ones own back yard, in this part of Canada...

*********************************************************

Below are some snap shots of our home.... I and Mr. B awoke one moring to this wonderful white seen........

The gate that leads to our door was covered in frost.

Every small detail perfectly covered with icy crystal's.

On the other side of the gate, the snow made a perfect privacy vial, Mr.B. was standing on the other side when I took this shot.
Our outside bell was also delightfully covered My grandchildren ate watermelon on this bench just a few months ago after a swim in the back yard pool. Remember the little apple tree Mr.B planted last spring? Here she is, with her little apples covered in frost. Only God could decorate Christmas tree's so perfectly!
Just down the street lies the river bend....
The trees and banks are also laced with frost...we said to each other that the sight of an eagle could only complete this wonderful seen, and guess what we saw in the bush across the river???

A mature bald eagle

I and Mr. B will have to do a written count ( for they are all accounted for) but a rough guess would be about about 80+ eagles in the past 5 1/2 years...When we first met, we started to see these great creatures, in such great numbers and some very unusual ways.Eg; Right above us in the middle of the city on Jublie St. in the winter, or like the one right next door to us at the corner park in the city we walked up to it really close! Some folks are beginning to wonder what I and Mr. B have been wondering all along???

Than you Lord for putting the most beautiful final touch on this magnificent day...you truly are a great God

Happy Happy Joy Joy

I am so excited, my daughter and her husband finally finally bought there first place. This is truly answered prayer for us all, but especially for them. They so badly needed to move from the rented house they are living in...on so many levels this house was not conducive to a growing family, even though it provided a roof over there heads that they could afford for 3 years.
There oldest child starts school in September and a move needs to happen fast!
The prayers that were answered...was that they could not come up with the down payment to purchase a home of there own. The Lord said to my daughter, and husband... "not to worry for, He will have some one provide it...and it's not to be from a family member" !...she and her husband would not take the money from us, for they rested so strongly in what God had told them...
Me on the other hand with all my suspicions and doubts, kept saying who, and how???? I didn't believe that God would do that, especially now... when moneys are so desperately needed in a country that's been devastated by earthquakes!
But God is not only great he is so amazing....they got there down payment provided for by a stranger no less, not a family member nor friends! They move in two weeks, plenty of time for settling in and in time for school registration...and a wonderful bonus, is that the school is in walking distance to there new home...what an extra blessing...a bed room for all...so the children dont have to share any more...running usable water...wow!...a washer/dryer, no more long trips to family to do loads of laundry! Proper heat, and the list goes on and on!!!

Thank you Lord thank you!!!!
Now, I did say that if God provided a down payment for them I would eat my...
Look who's eating crow... happily!

Bed Room...Done???

This is our bed room suite, my retreat from the world.Old world lace window dressing's, Mahogany furnishings....
Four poster bed....
Freshly painted... corn silk wall's.
Our favorite eagle picture matches the room so well....the only problem is the size of bed! We fairly "slim" built folks thought we could sleep well with a medium sized bed...not! Now after all that work of putting our room together, we are agian on the look out for another bed...a queen four poster, maybe a slay bed would do well???

This is my sewing/art room. My other retreat from the world...my dear children bought me a sewing machine for Christmas and boy...am I using it.

I love my brother sewer...I am making a dress for my grand-daughter.

This is the material Shmoo picked out for the dress...

This is the pattern...when its done I'll show it off...

2010 A New Year Has Begun

A new year brings happy smiling face and much love.
new babies find their personalities...as we thoroughly enjoy this blessing of ... grandchildren!

Our most resent arrival,is little Miss Ivy.
She is a sweet tempered Dwarf Rag Doll...who at time's looks like a gremlin...he he!
Also my wonderful, sexy, strong, patient, loving husband turned the big Five-O !!!
We had a small gathering at our home were the kids came over and we celebrated Mr.B's 50Th...My daughter made a lovely caramel/apple cheese cake. This coming weekend we will celebrate with his side of the family.

This is from me to you my dear husband..........

**Push**
Every time I look at you the world just melts away
All my troubles all my fears dissolve in your affection.
You've seen me at my weakest but you take me as I am
And when I fall you offer a softer place to land.

You stay the course you hold the line you keep it all together.
You are the one true thing I now I can believe in.
Your all the things that I desire, you save me, you complete me.
Your the one true thing I know I can believe in.

I get mad so easy but you give me room to breathe.
No matter what I say or do, cause you're too good to fight about it.
Even when I have to push just to see how far you'll go
You won't stoop down to battle but you never turn to go.

There are times I cant decide, when I cant tell up from down
You make me feel less crazy, when other wise I'd drown.
But you pick me up and brush me off, and tell me I'm OK
Some times that's just what we need to get us through the day

sarah mclachlan

I love you Mr.B...Mrs. B!
Happy 50th Birthday sweetie.
